Southland Hospital is one of the newest Hospital’s in the South Island of New Zealand, providing modern and easily accessible facilities for staff and patients alone. Southland Hospital is the base hospital for a wide geographical area, creating enormous scope for variety in the work of a talented professional like you.  We are looking for an experienced General Radiologist to join us on a fixed term basis, for a year.

The Southern DHB Radiology Service is provided to a population of approximately 310,000 people over the lower South Island. As an outstanding team player, you'll have the energy to make a positive difference with both patients and colleagues alike.  In addition to enjoying a challenging and varied workload, you can look forward to a competitive pay rate and a culture where staff are included, valued and respected for their expertise.

Southland offers a wide range of recreational activities. It is home to two of New Zealand's national parks offering superb hiking and scenery, whilst internationally acclaimed fishing and a wide range of other outdoor pursuits are also available. Five top New Zealand snowboarding/skiing destinations are also within easy driving distance.

Recognised as an ideal place to raise a family, Invercargill is a modern city offering access to outstanding leisure pursuits and a caring, safe community. The city also has superb facilities such as the brand new indoor velodrome and sporting complex, excellent schools and an enterprising, innovative tertiary education provider, where free fees exist.
