We seek an exceptional Clinical Team Manager to join our Southern Rivers Gore and Clutha Community Mental Health Team. This is a demanding, challenging, rewarding role.  You’ll demonstrate sound professional judgement, strong leadership skills and a clear commitment to high quality care and the development of the Service.  Contributing to your success in this position will be your ability to lead an already effective team, your budgeting and staff management skills and your ability to communicate and influence across a range of providers.  Key accountabilities of this role include providing clinical leadership; fostering a positive culture; service planning and delivery; financial, quality, risk and staff management of the service.

 

The Clinical Team Manager will be a New Zealand Registered Health Professional (and therefore able to practice in New Zealand); hold a relevant post graduate qualification, and have a proven record of success in a health related leadership environment.  This will complement your experience in, and knowledge of clinical quality, safety and best practice.  We envisage a minimum of five years’ experience in working in the field of Mental Health (particularly Community based) to be essential.

 

You’ll report directly to the Service Improvement Manager and be strongly supported by the District Leadership Team of the Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disability Directorate.  A strong focus of the role will be ensuring contemporary Models of Care are implemented and evaluated in response to the changing needs of the community and health system.
