Registered Nurse

District Nursing - Southland

  • Permanent fulltime position

This is a great opportunity for you to become a “specialist generalist”

You will be responsible for planning and implementing care to a diverse range of district nursing patients in the Invercargill area and surrounding community and also the clinic based service.

The District Nursing role also offers an opportunity for you to expand your scope of practice and in doing so we look to build capacity within the service, to provide relief cover in the PRIME (Rural Nurse Specialist), Wound, Continence, Ostomy and other specialty areas this service provides.

You’ll be a passionate, committed and enthusiastic nurse who has a positive attitude.  This is the perfect opportunity for those of you who have broad experience from a surgical and medical or community setting, and of course you’ll love to work autonomously within the community.  If you think this is where you want your career to go and you currently don’t have specific community experience we’d still like to hear from you.

Because you’ll be driving every day, a full, clean driver licence is essential for this role.

You must be registered in accordance with the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 as a Registered Nurse and have a current practicing certificate.  A minimum of 3 years post graduate nursing is also required.

If this sounds like the opportunity you have been waiting for, please apply now and state in your cover letter your preferred FTE and hours of work.

Closing Date:  Wednesday, 16 January 2019
