We have an exciting permanent, part time vacancy for a Registered Nurse looking to join our Southern Blood & Cancer Service.

The Southern Blood & Cancer Service is a challenging yet very rewarding place to work and comprises of the Oncology Day Unit, Oncology/Haematology Assessment Unit, Outpatient Clinics, Radiation Therapy treatment areas and acute inpatient ward.

The position involves the care of medical oncology, radiation oncology and haematology patients receiving chemotherapy, supportive treatments or radiation therapy. Some of the key nursing tasks are: comprehensive patient assessment; administration of chemotherapy and associated supportive therapies or procedures; symptom control and management; patient education; psychosocial assessment and support and nurse-led clinics.

 To be considered for the role you will have registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a registered nurse with a current practising certificate. Experience in Oncology/Haematology and/or recent acute nursing is also required.
