Clinical Nurse Specialist (Respiratory – Ward 7A)
- 0.8 FTE- 32 Hours Per Week
- Parental Leave cover – fixed term role until 13 October 2019
The respiratory nursing team based at Dunedin Hospital is looking for an experienced registered nurse who currently practices in this role or wishes to choose respiratory nursing as there area of speciality practice and is prepared to develop specialist skills in respiratory care.
This position is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic small nursing team, and broader clinical team who are committed to improving the care of patients with respiratory disease on their journey from hospital to home. Facets of this role include direct patient assessment, clinical consultations, formal and informal teaching, participating in quality programs and leadership.
We are looking for someone with a team focus who is able to work autonomously and has a visionary outlook. Flexibility is an important component of the role, alongside the ability to self-monitor and maintain therapeutic boundaries.
You will have extensive post registration experience, preferably in respiratory care. There is an expectation that post graduate qualifications with a minimum of diploma will have been undertaken or a willingness to develop their advanced practice to achieve this.
We would also consider a secondment opportunity for internal DHB staff wishing to apply.
