Our Oncology Day Unit and Transfusion Medicine Service has a permanent part time vacancy available for an enthusiastic and passionate Registered Nurse.
Our Service is a challenging but extremely rewarding place to work, and comprises of the Oncology Day Unit, Outpatient Clinics and Medical Day Stay treatment areas.
The position involves the care of medical oncology and haematology patients receiving chemotherapy, and medical day stay patients receiving infusional therapies. Some of the key nursing tasks are: comprehensive patient assessment; administration of chemotherapy and associated supportive therapies or procedures; symptom control and management; patient education; psychosocial assessment and support, as well as chemotherapy treatment coordination.
A comprehensive orientation will be given to the successful candidate. Acute Oncology and/or Haematology nursing experience is preferred. If you wish to work within a friendly and supportive environment whilst making a difference to our patients then apply today!
The Applicant must have:
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Recent acute nursing experience
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate
