Ward 8c Oncology & Haematology has a permanent part-time vacancy for a Registered Nurse to join their team.


The Oncology and Haematology Service is a busy, challenging but rewarding place to work and comprises of the acute Oncology / Haematology in-patient ward, Oncology Day Unit, Outpatient Clinics & Radiation Therapy treatment areas.


This ward-based position involves the care of medical oncology, radiation oncology and haematology patients receiving chemotherapy, supportive or radiation therapy.  Some of the key nursing tasks are: comprehensive patient assessment; administration of chemotherapy and associated supportive therapies or procedures; symptom control and management; patient education; and psychosocial assessment and support.


The Applicant must have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Recent New Zealand based acute medical nursing or oncology/haematology experience
