Mental Health Professional  – Waitaki Community Mental Health Service

Waitaki Region

  • Permanent -  0.4 FTE, 32 hours per fortnight

The Waitaki Community Mental Health Service is Multi-Disciplinary Team that services the North Otago District. It provides support to Child and Youth, Alcohol and Drug, Adult and Elderly services. It also provides an after-hours on call crisis service.

We have an opportunity for a suitably qualified Mental Health Professional either with experience of working with patients with mental illness or with an interest in developing this in a community setting to join our team. 

You would also be available to cover the out of hours on call Duly Authorized Officer or the second health professional role.

Preference would be given to Registered Nurses with experience in mental health however all applicants will be considered.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well-established, experienced team that works collaboratively within a rural community.

You must be a Registered Health Professional, with a current APC - Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker with experience in working within a mental health sector, be eligible to live and work in New Zealand and hold a current NZ Drivers licence.
