Clinical Records Department has an exciting opportunity for a reliable and motivated Administration Officer to join the team in Dunedin Hospital.
This fast paced role has a strong focus on records and information management including paper patient records, electronic systems and interactions with health professionals both internal and external to the Southern DHB.
You will be required to supply and retrieve patient records from the various departments around the hospital therefore a good level of fitness is required. Upon starting you will receive comprehensive training to support your development allowing you to branch out and cover all roles within the service.
You will have proven ability to deal with confidential/sensitive information, strong communication skills (oral & written) and be a reliable and enthusiastic team player with the ability to multitask.
The successful applicant will:
- Have previous administration experience
- Have the ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
- Be self-motivated with a positive can do attitude; this will make you a great fit for the team
- Knowledge of the Public Records Act 2005 and the General Disposal Authority for DHBs 2006 is desirable but not essential
The Clinical Records Service operates 24/7 – Rostered shifts cover Monday to Sunday. This particular role is principally 8am -4:30pm Monday – Friday, but the expectation is all team members will cover rostered shifts if required (afternoon shifts are 3pm – 11pm, night shifts are 11pm – 7am) including weekends and public holidays.
The salary for this position is between $36,239 to $42,740 per annum (pro rata) as per the DHBs/PSA South Island Administrative Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and will be based on relevant experience and qualifications.
