In order to continue providing a high standard of care in our busy Breast Care Service, we require a skilled and passionate nurse to help us cover high levels of activity on an as and when required basis.
Whether you are looking to increase your hours, diversify your existing portfolio or take on a new challenge in your career, this is an opportunity to showcase and develop your nursing skills while contributing to the provision of top level care at Southland Hospital. On any given day this role could include a variety of responsibilities such as being confident in giving patient advise and education within their health care journey, working in our multi-disciplinary team and with other agencies to ensure the smooth running of the breast care service, patient support and advice both face to face in the breast care unit and acute wards.
You will bring excellent assessment skills and a passion and focus for working with families/whanau to provide a high standard of care. You will be an exceptional team player who has strong communication skills and the ability to be flexible with work shifts. Additionally, you will naturally embody the Southern DHB values of Kind (Manaakitanga), Open (Pono), Positive (Whaiwhakaaro) and Community (Whanaungatanga) through your interactions with patients and colleagues.
