Administration Officer – Clinical Records

Southland Hospital

The Clinical Records team is looking for a reliable and motivated new member to join the team in a part-time capacity.

This fast paced office has a strong focus on paper patient records, electronic systems and interactions with all health professionals both within and alongside the Southern DHB.

Whilst no specific experience is required, you’ll need to be well versed in office administration, be a skilled communicator, be reliable, accurate and have an eye for detail to succeed in this role. You will be required to supply and retrieve patient records from around the hospital so will also need to be physically fit.

7 weeks of full time, comprehensive training is provided to get you up to speed with the role when you join the team so you’ll be all set to hit the ground running.   

The criteria for this position is:

  • To have relevant administrative work experience
  • Team fit

The Clinical Records Service operates Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm – this particular role is principally required 16 hours per week (set days - Monday and Tuesday), but on occasion, may extend to 40 hours per week (by mutual agreement).

The salary for this position is between $36,239 to $42,740 per annum (pro rata) and will be based on relevant experience and qualifications.
