We are looking for positive and proactive part-time Healthcare Assistant to support our afternoon/evening roster on Ward 4A on a permanent, part time basis.

Strongly supported by a tight knit team under the careful direction of the Charge Nurse Manager, you will enjoy working in a unit that strives for excellence in clinical services and exemplifies the team based model of care Ward 4A is a 24 bed General Surgery ward, with an additional six bed High Dependency Unit attached. Ward 4A specializes in upper & lower GI and colorectal Surgery and provides for both elective and acute surgical admissions.

This role will see you assisting ward staff with patient cares and maintaining the ward environment to ensure efficient and effective functioning for patients and staff. You will be well organised, have a friendly attitude and be natural and easy communicator, who is calm and patient.  An integral part of our health care team, you must be able to take direction from both Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses. Experience working with people in the health sector and/or experience or knowledge of customer service would be an advantage. Full training and support will be provided.

The hours of work are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 5 – 9 pm.
