Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
- Fixed Term positions until 29 September 2019
- Vacancies available between 0.6FTE – 1.0FTE (24-40 hrs per week)
Our Emergency Department (ED) situated at Southland Hospital is looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join us on a fixed term basis for our annual Winter Flex.
As you can imagine, our Emergency Department is a very busy service. We have a triage area, a rapid assessment area, dedicated resuscitation areas with acute, sub-acute and paediatric cubicles. Our department carries out all acute care, including full patient resuscitation facilities, management of trauma, fractures, injuries etc. The ED’s vision is to be a centre of clinical care and customer service excellence. We pride ourselves on having a strong focus on customer service and its success is reliant on effective communication and teamwork.
Exciting opportunities exist for nurses wanting to develop their skills in this area of nursing including: a comprehensive orientation programme; on-going development in emergency nursing skills e.g. Trauma Nursing Core Course, Triage Course, and Advanced Life Support.
You must have sound clinical knowledge from which decisions can be made and a client centred nursing philosophy. Recent acute nursing experience is essential. We can be fairly flexible with hours of work (between 0.6FTE – 1.0FTE) and these will be negotiated on an individual basis with the successful applicants. Therefore please state clearly in your covering letter what your ideal FTE would be.
If this sounds like the role you have been looking for then apply today!
Closing Date: Friday, 12 April 2019
