Are you looking for a new challenge?

Southern District Health Board has an exciting opportunity for you to make your mark.  We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced hospital pharmacist to join our friendly team in Dunedin Hospital on a permanent, part-time basis.

Now is a great time to relocate to Southern!  Here you’ll find an enviable lifestyle without any traffic headaches! Dunedin also has high quality schooling, restaurants, cafes, arts and cultural activities that rival those on offer anywhere in the country.  The close locality to Central Otago means you can ski for the weekend, or enjoy those Central Otago summer temperatures, that dream will become your reality.  And if that hasn’t convinced you yet then the affordable housing and the exciting rebuild of Dunedin hospital as an advanced technology driven hospital just might.  Southern is one of the most spectacular parts of New Zealand!  Our high performing hospitals combined with a great location and stunning scenery make Southern an ideal work and lifestyle destination.

Our region serves a population of over 320,000 people, with hospitals in the 2 main centres servicing the district.  Dunedin and Wakari Hospital have approximately 450 beds and Southland Hospital in Invercargill has 180 beds.

We have a part-time, permanent position available at Dunedin Hospital that would suit an experienced hospital pharmacist/clinical pharmacist where you will be able to provide leadership and support, and apply your clinical skills and knowledge.  Do you have a passion for quality improvement, medication safety, clinical training/supervision or medicines information?  If you do, this is the position for you.  We’d also would love to hear what skills, passions and interests you have that you could bring to our DHB.

You must be registered (or able to register) as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand
