Do you have an interest in making a real difference in the lives of others within the mental health sector?
The Adult Intensive Care Mental Health Inpatient Unit at Wakari Hospital provides care within a range of different settings and environments and is looking to recruit a Health Service Assistant on a casual basis. This role will see you assist the registered staff with care of consumers within the service.
Our Health Service Assistants are key team members who assist our Nursing and Allied Health staff to ensure an effective and efficient service. As an Assistant working in Mental Health you’ll need to have a positive attitude and good communication skills, be able to take direction and work well as part of the team.
Our ideal applicant will be confident in providing support and assisting patients; display initiative; be patient focussed at all times, and be able to adapt to a changing environment. Computer literacy is essential and experience working with people in the health sector is an advantage.
Applicants should also note that a full driver’s licence is a requirement for this position.
