Clinical Engineer - Precision

Our Clinical Engineering team are seeking an experienced enthusiastic Precision Engineering Technician to service and maintain a wide variety of medical equipment and mechanical apparatus such as Anesthesia Machines, Oxygen Concentrators, Medical Gas Blenders, and Medical Pumps etc. Fine engineering skills would be an advantage, and being able to use Lathe, Mill/Drill and Welding equipment.

 

Medical Equipment advances quite rapidly in terms of functionality and sophistication, so you’ll need to be willing to undergo ongoing technical training as provided. General computer knowledge is also required; - Data entry, Excel and Word.

 

You will be a focused person who is process driven, able to use their initiative and has an excellent attention to detail.

 

You’ll be an integral part of Clinical Engineering at Dunedin Hospital so you’ll need to be able to work harmoniously in a team environment whilst remaining focused on patient care excellence.

Minimum current registration as “Registered Electrical Appliance Serviceperson” or agree to obtain registration (as required by the Electrical Workers Registration Board). You will need to have a good level of physical fitness due to the nature of the work and a current driver’s licence.
