Booking Clerk – Colposcopy Service        
Dunedin Hospital

About the Role

The Colposcopy Service is a busy, diverse service that works within the requirements of the National Cervical Screening Programme. We are looking for someone who is a flexible, high achieving administrator who has exceptional people skills, administration experience and the ability to manage this diverse and demanding role.

In this position you will provide all of the administrative support that the Nurse and Lead Colposcopists need to efficiently run the service within our community. You will be responsible for booking appointments with patients and clinics, chasing missed appointments and organising internal meetings with the clinicians. You will be required to take minutes at meetings and also update the external Colposcopy database.

This position is from Monday - Friday, with negotiated distribution of the hours over each day. 

About you

This Service often sees change, so it’s important that you are able to respond to change in a positive manner and not let it phase you. One of the requirements of the service is that missed appointments must be followed up, therefore it is essential that you are not shy of working on the phone but always maintaining a mature attitude and the ability to communicate in a professional manner with a variety of people.

It is essential that you have outstanding administration experience, have strong computer skills and the ability to pick up computer programmes, that you are super organised with excellent time management skills.
