About the Team
Here at Southland Hospital we place the care we offer mothers, babies and families in our Maternity Unit extremely highly. Our brand of care and compassion involves a very special blend of strength, compassion and cool-headedness and our team pride themselves in working as a cohesive unit in delivering the absolute best they can in sometimes challenging circumstances for the parents in our region.
About the Role – what’s in it for me?
We birth around 1200 babies every year and we work very closely together with the LMCs to ensure that both mother and baby get the level and type of care that they deserve. We have a women-centered approach to our care and you will be making a real difference to the patient experience. This role would suit a midwife who is team-focused and who enjoys getting involved in a variety of tasks to ensure the very best care is provided at all times.
We are looking for experienced Midwives with a commitment to quality care and who embody the Southern DHB values: Kind, Open, Positive and with a sense of Community.
We have a few opportunities right now and coming up so if you are a Registered Midwife and you think you’d like to join a team where integrity, honesty and a great sense of humour count we look forward to hearing from you.
For all roles you will need to be a NZ Registered Midwife with a current practicing certificate.
You will be based on site at Southland Hospital where it takes 10-15 minutes to get anywhere in town and there’s plenty of free parking on site. If you want to be part of a large, diverse organisation committed to excellence but don’t want the big city headaches why not consider all that is on offer here and gain a better work life balance for you and your family.
