- Permanent 1.0FTE (40 hours per week)
About the Southern DHB
When you work with Southern District Health Board (Southern DHB) you’re part of something quite special. We support everyone across our district to live well, and access the right care when they need it, by delivering high quality, patient-centred and equitable health services to our diverse communities.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced or senior physiotherapist to join our inpatient Allied Health team working in our Internal Medicine and acute wards. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have the drive to develop quality services in collaboration with others while working alongside a committed inter-professional team of health professionals.
We seek a clinician who is able to work autonomously in a variety of inpatient settings. You will be proficient at managing and prioritising a caseload within the inpatient setting and show dedication to developing your own skills while supporting the growth of students, junior staff and the Allied Health Assistant workforce.
About the role - what’s in it for me?
We take pride in supporting our staff to grow as clinicians, so we run a well-developed on-going support and professional development programme. The team provides regular in-services, senior staff mentoring and peer review, a comprehensive on-call competency training framework and access to course and conference funding.
You will be based on site at Southland Hospital where it takes 10-15 minutes to get anywhere in town and there’s plenty of free parking on site. If you want to be part of a large, diverse organisation committed to excellence but don’t want the big city headaches why not consider all that is on offer here and gain a better work life balance for you and your family.
