About the Role – what’s in it for me?
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced NZ Registered Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team in the Maternity Unit within Southland Hospital, Invercargill.
You will be using your valuable nursing experience to provide the best possible care to our women and babies as they set out on their new parenting journey. If you have an interest in working within a maternity setting and a passion for women’s health, this is the kind of opportunity that doesn’t come along every day.
About You
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a real desire to work with women and babies at this life changing time. Ideally you will have experience working with families, preferably within a maternity or paediatric setting. Breast-feeding experience would be great but is not essential as training will be given.
To succeed in this role you will need to:
- Possess excellent assessment skills
- Have a passion and focus for working with families/whanau with compassion and kindness
- Be an exceptional team player who has strong communication skills
- Be a Registered Nurse with a current APC for New Zealand

This is for 2 positions: a part time position for 24 hours per week and a full time position at 40 hours a week. You will need to be available for a variety of rostered shifts and please state your preference of full or part time in your covering letter.
