Here at Southland Hospital we value the care we offer mothers, babies and families in our maternity centre.  Our brand of care and compassion involves a very special blend of strength, compassion and cool-headedness in the midwives who help babies into the world. We birth around 1200 babies every year and we work very closely together with the LMC’s to ensure that both mother and baby get the level and type of care that they deserve.


We currently have 1+ FTE vacancy within our team, and are on the lookout for experienced midwives with a commitment to quality care and the embodiment of the Southern DHB values, Kind, Open, Positive and a Sense of Community in all that they do.


If you are a Registered Midwife who has an interest in joining our roster and you think you’d like working in a team where integrity, honesty and a great sense of humour count we look forward to hearing from you.  Please state clearly your preferred hours and availability in your application.


To be eligible for this role you will need to be a NZ Registered Midwife with a current practicing certificate.
