Here at Southern DHB, we are firmly committed to providing our patients with the highest level of care. We believe that our dedicated and passionate staff are a significant driving force behind the achievement of these standards, and we need more like minded people to help us continue providing for our community.
Due to the signing of the national safe staffing accord, the Clinical Nurse Coordination team situated at Dunedin Hospital has exciting opportunities for passionate and experienced nurses to join the team on a permanent basis. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are capable of providing an expert clinical leadership service with the ultimate aim of supporting our deteriorating patients. These roles are for our ‘out of hours’ shifts.
You will be responsible for providing specialist nursing care and leadership to the acute wards during the after-hours shifts. This will include offering clinical expertise and leadership to support staff to safely care for deteriorating patients. You will initiate appropriate clinical interventions and provide advice.
These are autonomous roles so we are seeking exceptional individuals who know how to get the job done efficiently, those who are proactively always looking to add value, and those who can make a real impact to our after-hour services.
You will need clinical experience in either acute care, HDU, ED or ICU nursing, evidence of post graduate study and at least Level 3 PDRP. If you are an experienced nurse with excellent communication and leadership skills with the desire to expand your nursing career into a clinical senior nursing role, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
