Cardiac Physiologist / Echocardiographer – Diagnostic Testing Department

Southland Hospital

  • Fixed-term position until April 2020
  • Part-time 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cardiac Physiologist who can perform echocardiography independently to join our Diagnostic Testing Department at Southland Hospital.

Our Department is involved in a full range of tests including, ECG’s, Holter monitoring, Exercise Stress Testing, Pacemaker and ICD follow-up, and Echocardiography (Adult and Paediatric).

You will be supported by our experienced team of Cardiac Physiologists in our friendly department.  Our ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and great communication skills with team members and patients alike.  The ability to cope with busy workloads and be flexible is a must.

We are looking for someone who can perform echocardiography independently to a high standard, whilst paediatric experience would be beneficial it is not a pre requisite. You will need to hold a current APC or be eligible for an APC.  You will also need to have current registration (or meet registration requirements) with the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board.
