Introduction |
The Māori Health Unit - Te Huinga Tahi delivers kaupapa Māori services to hospital inpatients and their whānau (family) as well as supporting Southern DHB to reduce health inequalities.
The Māori Health Unit provides the following services:
The nursing and social support services work alongside the patients to navigate their journey from hospital care to home/community. This support helps to ensure that the patients' social, physical and cultural needs are addressed and helps to reduce re-admission to hospital. |
