A new name is accompanying the new beginning for Critical Care in the Southern District, and we couldn't be more excited. To mark the opening of Stage One of the ICU, a new name has been chosen to better describe the new direction of this important service: Te Puna Wai Ora - Southern Critical Care. Dunedin is a GREAT PLACE to live and work
Don’t just take our word for it here's what our current ICU Staff say.
“Dunedin is a great place to live as here I can afford to buy a life style block and build a house for less than half a million. It is also a great place for mountain biking & surfing as well as lots of great designer shopping”.
“I enjoy Dunedin because the beach, bush and lakes are right on our doorstep. It is also only a few hours to get to ski fields. Dunedin is a great place for families. The schools are fabulous, it has a safe environment and there are lots of activities to do rain or shine".
‘’Dunedin offers the opportunity to work in a contemporary ICU but still maintain an amazing work life balance. My kids have amazing school experiences”.
“In Dunedin everything is close. It takes a maximum of 10 minutes to get anywhere in town. ICU has friendly colleagues and great team work. The ICU also has a variety of patients, we get everything in the medical text books from trauma to paediatrics.”
